Starting a new season? Copy your schools, regions and divisions, meet templates, handicap yardage groups, and award categories forward from a prior season in a few clicks. Everything is matched by name and skips duplicates, so it is safe to re-run.

Configure how many rounds of 16-Yard, Handicap, and HOA each meet runs. When you open registration, TrapCloud creates the round records for you, with no manual setup.

Build squads and place each athlete on posts 1 to 5. One click auto-assigns squads across your available traps in round-robin order.

After 16-Yard scoring, the system computes each athlete's handicap yardage automatically (either average-by-rounds or the ATA percentage method, clamped to 18 to 27 yards), sorts everyone into your yardage groups, and auto-builds the handicap squads. Yardage-group boundaries are treated as a hard safety line and are never crossed.

A volunteer scorer scans a squad's QR code on their phone, with no app install and no login, sees that squad's athletes at their posts, and taps hit or miss for each of the 25 birds. Every tap is recorded individually and pushed to the live standings in real time.

If the connection drops on the trap line, the scorer keeps going. Each bird is buffered on the device, cryptographically signed, and synced in a batch the moment they are back online. Duplicates are ignored and nothing is lost.

Prefer paper cards, or need to fix something? Meet staff can type in a total (for example 23/25) or enter it bird-by-bird, and correct any score. Every manual entry and correction is attributed to the staff member who made it.

Scores appear on the public leaderboard and the live spectator board as they are entered, with no refresh.

Before results are locked, TrapCloud scans for data problems and flags them by severity: impossible totals, totals that do not match the bird-by-bird marks, scores that are statistical outliers against an athlete's own history, duplicate or suspiciously identical squad scores, missing scores, and unusual perfect streaks. High-severity flags block certification until you fix them or explicitly override, and the override is logged.

Certifying locks a squad's scores as final, feeding awards, standings, and recruiting. Made a mistake? An assigned meet admin can un-certify to reopen scores and re-certify.

Every entry, edit, certification, override, and un-certification is recorded: who did it, when, the values, and how it was entered (mobile, live sync, or paper). Even single-bird corrections are tracked, so a result can always be audited or a dispute settled.

Fast leaderboards per athlete and per team, by 16-Yard, Handicap, and HOA (high-over-all), recalculated automatically the instant a squad is certified.

Placements are computed from certified scores across every award category you have set up. A priority engine resolves overlapping categories (Grand Champion, competition class, gender, 4-H, Ladies, yardage group): each shooter is placed in their best eligible award and cascades to the next place where needed. Contested places show “in the running” markers live until the tie is settled.

Release 16-Yard results while a handicap shoot-off is still being decided, instead of all-or-nothing, and un-publish to make a correction.

When shooters tie for a place, TrapCloud detects it and builds the shoot-off: it assigns ATA posts and traps (middle-out from the clubhouse, keeping yardage groups intact), scores it live by QR or straight from the existing bird-by-bird data (long-run), and if they are still tied, auto-creates the next round with rotated posts until there is a winner. Coin-flip and draw-card resolutions are supported too.

Bulk-import a school's athletes from a CSV: first name, last name, classification (unclassified, junior, senior, varsity, or jv), and graduation year. Add athletes individually any time too.

Coaches can import a meet lineup from a spreadsheet: columns for last, first, squad name, squad number, post (1 to 5), and an optional trap number. Names are matched to your roster case-insensitively; anyone not found is created and flagged for review.

Someone shows up unrostered? A meet admin adds them on the spot (their school just needs to be entered in the meet). They are saved to your roster and flagged for the org admin to approve.

Imported and walk-in athletes land in a pending-review list, so the org admin vets new names before they count.

Log practice scores between meets, kept completely separate from certified competition data. Practice feeds your analytics but never touches official standings or awards.

Your roster ranked by average, plus a per-athlete deep dive: average percentage, recent five-round form, best round, a breakdown by discipline and by meet-vs-practice, a performance trend chart, and a season-over-season comparison.

A 5x5 station heatmap showing hit rate at every post and bird position, your weakest station called out, consistency stats (standard deviation and spread), and a handicap breakdown by yardage, so coaches can see exactly where an athlete is dropping birds.

A public, real-time, bird-by-bird board for a team: who is shooting, who is finished, the team average, and each athlete's progress toward 25, updating live as scores come in.
